This thread is a good primer:

    The tl;dr version:

The necessity to do journalism fundamentals (at the risk of faceplanting against the most anti-media President ever) is kind of biting us all on the ass here.

The only thing we know for sure is Nevada's in the bag. The problem is calling Nevada drops the proverbial balloons because AP and Fox are out over their skis.

Georgia's too close to avoid a recount.
Pennsylvania and Arizona have too many ballots out and not enough is known about their origin (in the case of Pennsylvania because of these provisionals and Arizona because Trump is doing just well enough to allow for enough doubt to make enough algorithms and editors nervous about getting it wrong.

If he didn’t already have my vote, he would have gotten it for skipping the insincere “and god bless the United States of America” bullshit tag line.i

It just gives me a warm feeling to have someone acting presidential and reassuring the nation. Is amazing that in four years we have completely lost touch with things that we've always had.

I think Rick addressed this but I am much more unnerved by the glacial pace of the counting than the networks refusing to risk making a call. Seems like it took 6 hours to count the first 80 percent and 6 weeks to count the next 20.

Heehee. I know, I shouldn't, but when your decisions catch up with you...

That would mean understanding what shame and being ashamed are.

The difference is, unlike four years ago, that people stay away for health reasons, not because they didn't approve of the new president.
