Same here. Wanted to go out, but have been sheltering in place - militantly perhaps to some - and the numbers going up does not encouraging letting up on such. Not questioning that more of the celebratory sorts are wearing masks and keeping their space when they can, but some of these gatherings are big enough to make space a shrinking commodity.

Swapped texts with family - poor folks in a red state and all. Thank goodness for mobile means of communication. No Zoom ... will NOT be responsible for breaking anyone else's screens,

Factor in that Republicans are pleading with Democrats not to spike the football, not to take a victory lap.

Ideally, I see it. But who are the Republicans to tell any Democrat to take the high road given their behavior the last four years?

That's what the Republicans said in essence, yes.

You don't have to say it in return. But does anyone have to listen to their pleading? They destroyed any benefit of the doubt ... and they have no one but themselves to blame for it.

 

I intend on saying it a lot. I'm also quite fond of a variety of "Hold this L" gifs.
