I was trying to explain this the other day to someone...Southerners do have a capacity to embrace homosexuals if they know how to be just gay enough to be a little flamboyant but also not be in our faces with their gayness.

 

Also surprised Marvin Harrison didn't come around shooting his guns.

 

I already posted a map . . . showing four businesses between the two places. "Next to," indeed.

Wonder what you'd say if you got cited for parking "next to" a fire hydrant . . . when there were four cars separating you from the hydrant. Might you "flail"?

My mom had a cousin who was a professor at UT in the 70s and 80s and a "confirmed bachelor" his whole life. Dude was so light in his loafers he could walk through Old Town Knoxville and never touch the sidewalk. He was a pretty good old boy, though. I liked him.

 

I mean this isn't exactly what I could call extremely far away. I guest it isn't "next to" because there is technically a building in between, but c'mon man...
