Boy, that question has my head spinning.

First of all, Trump seems to have a fascination with leaders we (for whatever reason) deem to be "strong." The USSR's post-Stalin leaders didn't have that distinction in this country. We did not demonize Khruschev, or Brezhnev, or Andropov, etc. We didn't compare them to Hitler (even though their USSR was much more repressive than today's Russia). We demonized Communism, and they were simply the faces at the top of it. Thus, I don't believe Trump would have had the fascination/respect for Brezhnev that he does for Putin.

That being said, the Soviet Union was much more powerful and influential, so a Trump who was (again, for whatever reason) beholden to that country would have been much more dangerous for the United States. I believe Brezhnev, as he did with Nixon, would have made missile treaties his top goal and would have worked on Trump to get out of Vietnam and stop all the anti-Communist proxy wars. And we would have had a 1980 Summer Olympic team! (again, depending on what time frame we're talking about, as Brezhnev was there for 18 years).

If you listen to Trump interviews from the early 80s, it's spooky how he says much of the same things. So I think throwing him into that era would be pretty easy (without the Twitter, of course).

Those darn Christians love their Bible too. They just don’t want you to read it lest you find some inconsistencies in the infallibility of their sky magician.

Precedent, laws and rules are for the right wing to impose on others, not abide by.

Here is what has happened just since Nov. 4:
    1. Don Jr. and Eric Trump have been pranked into posting photos of people filling in ballots for Biden, and posting the photo of the guy loading equipment into a TV truck and claiming he was loading ballots to be taken away.
    2. Rudy's staff screwed up the reservation for the actual Four Seasons Hotel and made it at Four Seasons Landscaping. Then, they compound it by actually going ahead with the press conference at landscaping joint, probably hoping no one would notice the sex shop down the street.
    3. Then, at the press conference, they introduce a supposed Trump poll watcher who actually lives in New Jersey and is a convicted sex offender.
And this is the bunch who's going to take the election results to court? I know better lawyers operating out of a store front in Palatka, Fla.

    Oscar-

    I want to think they're good guys/gals- I just don't trust them.

These Republicans helped with the scaffolding for a lot of bad ideas. Trickle-down, weapons of mass destruction, Willie Horton, so on.

Wilson won't even own the Islamophobia. It's typical though, I've never heard any of them own their yuge tactical errors from the past.
