    Unless Trump goes to a certifiable MAGA city such as Tulsa, Pensacola, Little Rock, Jackson, Miss., or East Bumfuck, the elected officials in any location being approached for one of his planned rallies from here until Jan. 20 needs to have the balls to say thanks, but no thanks. We're already dealing with enough COVID cases.

    I live in Little Rock. It is not MAGA.
    Arkansas, yes. The suburbs in neighboring counties, yes.
    But Little Rock is overwhelmingly Democratic as Biden won here, 60-38.

    Good for him. That's the first time I've said that re: Pence.
    Can't say this is a well earned respite. He hasn't done anything on the COVID task force per instructions of the lord and savior.
    But the announcement of a vacation is a pretty clear indication that he knows his political career is over. Trump is going to be the leader of the klan in 2024 and Pence can't stop that train.

    Think of all the things that should / could / may happen on January 21. He wants to have a rally? No dice say local officials. Twitter freezes his account for violating their TOS -- he no longer gets wide lattitude since he's president. Lawsuits, criminal investigations, etc. that he has stonewalled because as president they would get in the way of carrying out duties? Don't have that excuse anymore. In fact, no longer a sitting president, so the "sitting president can't be indicted" crap goes away.

    I'd ask for vacation if I had to spend four years around that clod also. Mike is a perfect Florida Man. Maybe he can mount his next run for office from there.
