Yep, it's actually brilliant. Instead of weak-ass Perdue and Loeffler ads, suddenly the whole race is about preserving the Donald Trump "legacy." It's Trump vs. Ossoff and Warnock now.

I can almost write the campaign ads: "Those mushroom-eating, tree-hugging radical LIBERALS STOLE one election from you! Don't let them steal another one! This is your chance to save America by voting Republican on Jan. 5! Keep President Donald Trump's vision alive and preserve what we've fought so hard to steal on our own!"

Perdue and Loeffler basically can shut up and watch, and keep playing the "pro-Trump" card. The great thing is you don't even need the Orange Cheeto to show up, and if he decides to wander around and tip his red cap, that's a bonus.

Just invoke his name and likeness and Pavlov's elephants will come to attention.

Shit, Trump his own self could come out and tell everyone to wear masks and be socially distant — and his followers would believe he’s being manipulated by some Chinese mind control device and disregard his new advice.

There ain’t no reasoning with that.

The thing is, the GOP doesn’t have to lie to their voters. They can say please vote in the GA senate races so we can prevent Joe Biden from getting any judges.

    The apotheosis.

Dovetails neatly with lost cause iconography.

It really is. The "modern lost cause," which will resonate greatly here.

United States government = Whoopi Goldberg by Howie Kurtz. I wonder if he thought of that himself

The only problem with this plan is that Trump drives turnout for both sides. He LOST Georgia, after all.

If The Lincoln Project folks want to come up with some new ads, now would be a good time to do so. I can’t imagine they’re very thrilled with Moscow Mitch, either.

But helping take Senate control might be a bridge too far for them.

They did ads against Graham, Ernst, Mitch and Collins
They have made a point of going after Trump enablers
    The Georgia senators certainly qualify

They must figure they have no chance without Trump diehards. It seems a calculated gamble whether they can get their voter base more POed than the Democratic base by pursuing this.

I hope it backfires spectacularly, since they were willing to cross this particular rubicon.
