I think that this sort of thing is a continuation of the right wing using the language of the opposition as a fairly effective tactic.

Racism and calls for violence become free speech issues. Anti abortion arguments are turned from individual rights for women into an overriding personal right of the unborn. Hate groups depict themselves as a minority persecuted by the government. Corporations are given rights previously preserved as individual rights.

It’s not much of a surprise to me that, when people begin to wage convincing campaigns against the closing of poling places in precincts that tend to vote Democrat and increasing stringent voting requirements that disproportionately disenfranchise non-GOP voters, voices on the Right would use the same sort of language and tactics to claim that they are the ones who the system is rigged against.

That the evidence isn’t on their side isn’t all that important to them, other than to be the reason that they need to whine much louder.

Me, too. But I agree, Perdue and Loeffler are dead in the water without keeping the Trumpists in the fold. Neither one could punch their way out of a wet paper sack without massive help from the screech machine.

And old white people dominate runoffs and off-year elections, because they literally have nothing else to do. The Democrats will have to do something spectacular (hello, Obama!) to get out their base.

More Arizonans voted for trump than McSally. She must be a freak.
It’s also fair to say that if Hitler, Osama Bib Ladin or Joe Stalin were republican candidates against FDR, JFK or LBJ, 95% of republican voters would vote the republican party candidate.

Abortion is a female, white, college educated, middle class issue. The overwhelming majority of African Americas, Hispanics, Asians are neutral If not opposed to abortion.

I just don't get how Perdue and Loeffler get votes. From anyone. I mean, it astounds me how stupid and easily seduced so many people in this country are by kindergarten rhetoric and bullshit. Put aside the nonsense about what the two parties stand for, and keep in mind that nobody would ever accuse me of being a democrat. ... Every time I see either Loeffler or Perdue, I want to take a shower. Especially Perdue, although Loeffler is as phony as (insert your favorite simile). When I hear either of them speak, I feel like I got dumber. They aren't even artful about it. And then there are the slimy stock transactions, which aren't a manufactured scandal, it speaks to what holding public office is about for each of them. The fact that those two slimeball nothings are U.S. senators depresses me. Makes me so down on America.

I was referring to the language-flipping aspect of the crusade against abortion.

For example, many Southern Baptists in my very-red-but-not-red-enough-for-them state say that they view their fight as akin to the abolition movement, yet their church came into being because they opposed that movement.

So, is Parler pronounced “parlor” or parlay?

True. And she still forced a runoff against Warnock. I don't know much about Warnock, other than he looks like JB Smoove and when he speaks I hear the same democratic politics as usual that makes me want to put my head in a vice. And it still wouldn't matter for me. if I lived there, maybe I wouldn't vote for either, maybe I'd give my vote to Warnock because she is so corrupt that I'd see the imperative of getting her sleezeball ass out of there (with anyone being better), but I still come back to. ... who are the million + people who just voted for HER?
