President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

Still amazed at the fealty Trump commands. I would imagine there are more than a few Trumpers who are unlikely to work in the public sector again, or seek office and need voter approval or even not require or need his "approval" in order to go on and live their happy life. Yet, dozens, scores, hundreds? of senior officials have chosen Trump over their oaths, and over the country. Don't call them patriots. Every minute Trump wastes on this election is going to make it harder for him to run in 2024. Don't think the party regulars won't pull out all of the stops against him with his "Grover Cleveland" redux act.

 

Of course it's not some sort of inspired divination, but a buddy and concluded the other day that Trump will kick and screen for the next few weeks, go to Mar-a-Lago at Christmas and just never go back to D.C.
Michael Cohen said the exact same thing in an interview yesterday.

 

He'll start making his list, check it twice, find out who's naughty and nice. Pardons for the naughty.

 

I would be afraid there will be nobody running the country for the next two months, but that’s kinda what’s been happening since 2017.

You know how fucking awesome our form of government is that it may survive Donald Trump? He didn’t take briefings. He let a MF’ing PANDEMIC go unfought. He became friends with Kim Jong-un.

And we aren’t all dead yet! This is amazing!

 

We still got more than 50 days of 2020 left - don't say crap like that. (Knock wood).

 

I said YET. He could still kill us all. But at least I got to see him lose before!

 

These are the same people who spend thousands a year on travel sports to watch their kids get clobbered but surround themselves with others who tell them their kid is so close to DI.

They don’t want anything that resembles truth that makes them uncomfortable.

 

There are two moments I “knew” Mr. Biden had won this election.

1. When Fox News “called” Arizona for Mr. Biden.

2. When poster @RickStain said he was 99 percent certain Mr. Biden had won Michigan and Wisconsin.

 

There are some people who go to these alternative sites and find their people and never come back. They'll spend the rest of their lives exchanging conspiracies. But there are some people who will go and see the crazy, and they'll quietly come back as though they were never gone.

 

Fun story. That adult bookstore is now En Su Boca, a Mexican joint in Richmond. They make some killer fish tacos.
