Trump Campaign Drops Arizona Lawsuit

Donald Trump’s campaign has dropped its lawsuit challenging ballots in Arizona after it became clear that Joe Biden will win the state even if the suit was successful, CNN reports.

The Trump campaign had objected to a number of ballots submitted in Maricopa County, Arizona, but said in a court filing on Friday that “the tabulation of votes statewide has rendered unnecessary a judicial ruling as to the presidential electors.”

Bloomberg reports that the lawsuit concerned 191 ballots in total, while Biden leads Trump by about 11,000 votes. As of Friday afternoon, the Arizona Secretary of State’s office reports that an estimate 6,671 ballots remain uncounted. Newsmax
