This is really good insight. The GOP is kind of dead in the water right now waiting for the new "narrative" to develop after Trump is gonna win, and It's Fraud didn't really take. You see conservative media thrashing around trying to adjust to reality like a fish out of water. Going to be interesting to see where they go.

To me, this is pretty much a “Duh!” story.

For at least 3o years, through AM talk radio and Fox News, the GOP narrative has been “Democrats bad! Socialists! Hide your wallets ‘cause they hate people with any money!” For added measure, communism, anti-veteran and armed forces, tree-hugging and a veiled racism is thrown in.

The main change brought by Trump is that many of the formerly core GOP “values” (deficit spending, strong traditional allies, morality in their leaders, etc) have been de-emphasized, the demonizing of Democrats has revved and the formerly veiled racism is more prominent.

The GOP is no longer the shining castle on the hill. Their only narrative is “anything, even something like Trump, other than the Democrats because they will push you into the moat.”

 

Geez, not the sports analogies.

Because Trump will start comparing the Dems to the 2017 Astros.

 

Baseball requires an attention span.
