As an originalist, I believe that the No Backsies clause of the Constitution has now conclusively settled the matter.

I was talking about the Helen Mirren vehicle, not the other one (which was too libertine even for me).

I think Mirren channeled Catherine perfectly, but that scarcely comes as surprise.

My wife is on a web site called Ravelry. It's a site for knitters and similar interests, posts patterns, reviews, tutorials, videos, ads for gadgets, etc. Craft site.

The people who own the site took a bold step and announced a while back that they felt that Trump was racist and anti-democratic, and that they were not going to accept Trump ads or ads from Trump supporters, and that overtly Trump related patterns that people posted would be removed by the moderators. Post all the red white and blue socks you want to, but no Trump gear. Predictably, the Trumpists were incensed. "Boycott Ravelry!"

It's not the biggest site on the web (duh). The total number of people on there isn't that large, and it was only the rabid MAGAts who got all pissy. We're talking about a tempest in a rather small teapot.

So KFC posts an ad on the site. It's innocuous, a link to a pattern to knit a chicken leg. Seriously. Anyhow, the Trumpers see it and do the mental algebra. "Ravelry does not take ads from Trump supporters. They allowed a KFC ad. KFC HATES TRUMP!!!11!! BOYCOTT KFC!!!!!!"

She tells me about it. I think it's hilarious. A quick google of "boycott KFC" turns up the expected stuff from PETA and militant vegans, but nothing about Ravelry. My guess is that this is perhaps as many as a couple of hundred people, probably far less.

All this intro so that I can post these tweets and you'd have a clue WTF they're talking about.

The Trump flags are all but gone around here. I haven't seen a red MAGA cap in more than a week. We had a handful of kids wearing Trump masks (irony) at school, and they have disappear. I think that reinforces my theory that much of his "support" was really just the fad of the moment. It was political Duck Dynasty.
I do laugh at the people that have crap on their trucks - Trump Train. Maybe you made an impulse purchase of a flag or a cap. Maybe you were drunk browsing one night. It's over. You put it away and move on.
If you had stuff put on your truck*: 1. it was expensive. 2. it wasn't an impulse because it took time to do. 3. now you have to eat it to have it taken off or advertise your dumbassery for the foreseeable future. 4. if you leave it on, your later resale value is drastically less because a new owner isn't going to want to pay to have it taken off.

*I'm not talking about typical stickers. I'm talking about professionally done window tint, wraps, etc.

I think a lot of what Trump is can be attributed to the fact that no one really loves him. And the sad thing is he's passed that same malady to his sons. And Tiffany.

Let's hope you're right. Still got the Trump signs out here, although that could be runoff strategy.

And the attack ads have already started. Warnock is now "a radical's radical." Perdue and Loeffler aren't even trying to run on their record as incumbents -- not a surprise.
