God made us mortal beings and subject to the ills of free will. We are just children wondering why we can't have ice cream for breakfast, cake for lunch and more ice cream for dinner. If parents loved us, surely they would do what will make us happy.

That's not how it works. If we first assume there is a God who is—if we further assume—all knowing, we must therefor conclude that giving in to the prayers and whims of the people will disrupt more than we know. God made this world and universe with rules to keep order. Rules that even God follows. Science is our understanding of those rules. We curse God for the death of a child and the ascension of Trump, but God is playing by the rules of free will.

Believe in God, don't believe in God, your choice. But to discredit God because (S)He isn't our divine butler is misunderstanding what God is. The great tragedy of this world is the religious reject science and science rejects religion. Science can't explain morality. Religion can't explain how a plane flies.

Apologies, by and large, the religious reject science and, by and large, scientists don't embrace religion except to study it.

 

Religion is a complete human construct. If free will is god given and can’t or won’t be withdrawn or altered then religion is completely unnecessary and arbitrary

Atheism is your choice and I will not try to convince you religion is true. But have better arguments about why religion is false than "your God won't break the rules to therefor he doesn't exist."
