Other governments don't have to do it. Especially in Europe.

Because they've already built in a safety net so individuals and small businesses aren't at risk of immediate bankruptcy in a national emergency.

Many of those countries also have a comprehensive universal health care apparatus.

Just got an email from our school district, we are going virtual tomorrow due to the majority of teachers being quarantined. That’s district-wide, not at one school.

We were already doing virtual next week for the three days before Thanksgiving. I guess they hope to reopen the buildings on Cyber Monday.

Good luck returning. I don't see it happening for us for a very long time. Today is our last in person day.

Denver Public Schools is going remote for the rest of the semester.

San Bernardino school district in SoCal is going remote -- for the rest of the school year.

Or easy and expensive, like Trump's trade war with China tanking U.S. agriculture and then shoveling millions of dollars at Big Ag.

Does that include Napa County, where the French Laundry is located?

I know all the trackers are different and the most official seems to be Johns Hopkins, but by the looks on the worldometer tracker the U.S. is going to go past 2,000 deaths in a day today for the first time since early May (yesterday was very close). This is just starting for this go, too. These numbers, as they have been all along, should be horrifying to everyone. Unfortunately, to many the but did they die arguments still persist.

All the other school systems around me have announced going full virtual or hybrid through the end of the semester, including the other system IN MY COUNTY.
We are being told from our central office that teachers are lazy and just want to go home.
