To clarify, because these people need some serious clarifying:

That loud sigh of relief you just heard was literally every nation that is friends with America, pleased to find out that the adults in the room are picking adults to do the work.

I can tell you from being in Florida is that Rick Scott has designs on running for President in 2024. He's also feuding with Gov. Ron DeSantis, who also wants to run but only if Trump won in 2020. Of the two of those Republicans, DeSantis is the biggest Trump ass-kisser and he won't cross Trump in 2024 if Trump eventually goes away and quits challenging the Biden election. Scott would like Trump to come out of this looking so deranged that he'd have a serious chance.
Of course the downside is Scott and DeSantis are not much better than Trump. The one thing they have going for them over FatFuck is they served with various degrees of distinction in the Navy.

 

Does Blinken's middle name start with the letter A? If so, Tony A. Blinken sounds like Presidential timber.
