Manning and Brady called a lot of audibles or at least they pretended to, but the coach was in their helmet.

I can't believe Peyton Manning really listened to a fucking thing Adam Gase told him in that helmet.

He had some true crime podcast on. Peyton called his own plays and had since about his third year in the league. Gase used his like strictly advisory position to bullshit owners he was a great offensive mind.

That's bigtime. Thank you for the data. I've seen Broncos hats in Finland before.

Did the Colts and Broncos even have set passing plays when Peyton played for them? Particularly in his last year or two in Denver, when he couldn't throw it more than 25 yards down the field, it always seemed like they lined up in whatever formation they wanted and then Peyton just audibled the receivers to wherever the hole in the defense was going to be.

Well, it pretty much comes down to Marino, his predecessor Jake Scott in Miami (RIP) or Kurt Warner.

This is already on the Week 12 thread, but Washington's chances just went up dramatically. Pittsburgh's win today cost them a huge part of their pass rush.

Big picture, dude. They're 11-0. Nobody gets through a season without major personnel losses. It sucks for this guy, but in 2020, when the playoff field was already going to expand to seven per conference and may grow to eight, it's about a tournament at season's end. If your standard is perfection or bust, you're probably going to be disappointed. There are a lot of fan bases that would gladly trade places.
Having said that, I think the Steelers should have been awarded a forfeit win today. It would have sent a message that there are consequences for treating this plague like a Trumpist, which is what the Ravens' assistant strength coach/meathead did.
