I decided to go with a big name, but not actually name him by name. Sneeze Achiu doesn't just show up every week, you know?

I'm looking at the big picture. The Steelers had a good enough defense to give them a shot against the Chiefs. I'm not sure they have that with the losses of Bush and now Dupree.

Don't get me wrong. I'm enjoying the ride. I'm just frustrated by the injuries possibly getting in the way.

Not to get all Slap Shot on the bit, but is she suggesting the team be sold to someone else or is she attempting to take power from the post-Pat Bowlen regency that seems to be going on?

She/they want the team. They ain't getting it. No chance. So torpedo the other beneficiaries. A warning our lawyer warned me about when I became executor of my sister's four estates. Thankfully, we never got there. But I can totally see how you can. Especially with that much cash -- and above all else, control -- on the board. Everyone out for themselves.

I thought I'd heard she had kind of been deemed to be the most competent of Bowlen's progeny? Are there other kids who have better claims or is this forces from outside the family?

Wednesday night, Bowlen's widow issued a statement:

Ms. Wallace does not represent my client’s views or the views of the majority of the beneficiaries. Moreover, Ms. Wallace has filed a lawsuit that alleges that Mr. Bowlen lacked the capacity to execute the estate planning documents that appointed the Trustees, and that the Trustees therefore have no authority. Although we strongly disagree with these allegations and believe the estate plan will be upheld at the trial scheduled for July of 2021, any efforts to even consider selling the team before the Trustees’ authority is confirmed is unwise and impractical, and would be contrary to Pat Bowlen’s wishes to have the Bowlen family continue to own the Broncos if one of his children develops the ability to take over the role of Controlling Owner."

It is believed the seven siblings have to sign off on one of them to be appointed to be controlling owner of the team as chosen by a three-person trust.

I was under Niagara Falls dealing with my sister's estates. I can't imagine the bullshit and backstabbing going on in that family. We were lucky.

The youngest daughter, Brittany, was the "preferred" choice, but she apparently has fallen out of favor with the trustees and the family.

I do not wish this on any family, muchless with $3.2 BILLION on the table. Sell the team and fund your families for generations.

Trust me, easier said than done. I get backlash now on thousands of dollars. I don't know what I would do as an executor over this large of an estate. And, seemingly, the mega-egos involved.

Selling that large an asset can result in huge tax liabilities for all the sellers. Doesn't have to, but it's mega-complex depending on each of the heirs' current financial position.

We're really slipping as a board - we got a whole page past this without the proper image reference.
