"We can't just wipe out student loan debt," said Iowa farmer Dale Conover. "It would be fiscally irresponsible. Besides, anyone without student debt would be mad at the people who got the loans wiped out."

Conover, who grows soybeans outside of Ames, accepted more than $300,000 in subsidies the Trump Administration handed out as part of a strategy to cover up their damaging tariff wars with China.

When I pointed out that most Americans are not farmers and that they might get mad at farmers, he said he didn't care.

"See, I'm a Republican. So is our great president, so it is okay. If some Democrat president gave student loan forgiveness to some whiny kids in California, that's a problem."

“But that’s different!” is the top political philosophy in the world.

It seems like a first good step would be to stop charging interest on student loans that reach a certain level. And lessen the tax bomb at the end of the income-based program. Two steps that could gain bipartisan support.

I'm pleasantly surprised he didn't say it was a harbor in Oklahoma

If North Korea sailed USS Pueblo back over here and returned it to us while bringing ballots for Biden, that would be awesome!
On the other hand, if they came to Maine, why didn't they bring in some to help get Susan Collins out of the Senate? Bastards.

He’s pivoting to an even crazier base.
