Sorry, for non legal eagles and weirdos like me who keep up, Ava Maria is a Catholic law school in Naples that was founded by the Domino's pizza guy, who also owned the Detroit Tigers, and was in Michigan before moving to Florida.

Scalia developed the curriculum, based on Catholic doctrine and the law, while Bork has been a professor or dean there. Clarence Thomas has also been heavily involved with the school.

It is the lowest tier possible law school and considered the most conservative in the country. It is also the place you go if you want a law degree and are willing to pay big money tuition but don't really want to study. You might not pass the bar, but you'll have a law degree.

 

Was doing a short story, part of a larger notebook, on a kid we had playing some sport there. She did something noteworthy and I asked to talk to the coach. SID said I had submit my questions in writing. I said, um no.
