Don't you know by now that those entities are hand in hand? This is not an either/or thing. They're working together.

Yeah, the Steelers weren't hurt at all by having to play on short rest against a team that had 10 days to prepare.

It was obvious. Find your sense of humor. I'm keeping mine despite my team playing like shit and getting screwed.

The short rest was a big part of why the Steelers were missing their kicker tonight. They passed on the go-ahead field goal in the fourth quarter, a kick they absolutely try and most likely make with Boswell.

That said, the Steelers got away with a few other crappy efforts like this one. Washington's defense was good and the Steelers screwed up just enough to blow the unbeaten season. Smith also did a great job taking advantage of the Steelers' defense in the second half.

They could easily make it two in a row next Sunday night against the Bills. Joe Haden suffered a concussion tonight, so they could be without both cornerbacks. The loss of Spillane was also a big deal. He's not a great player, but Vince Williams has always struggled when he has to call the defensive signals and tonight was no different. That defense is in some serious trouble with the injuries piling up.

Based on the social-media posts I sw by women on Election Night and the days following, you’re quite wrong. They were very appreciative of Mr. Kornacki’s data and — perhaps especially — his khakis (Gap, palomino brown, no pleats, both straight and slim fit … apparently I need to get some).
