This season was about getting in enough games to cash the T.V. check, from the NCAA to the Sun Belt. Everything else was secondary.

And it's provided some entertaining moments and well-needed distractions, but there's no way I'll call this year's CFP champion legitimate.

It is what it is. My team's last five games have been cancelled. They have to give it to someone, that's the system.

It's not like any team in C-USA could have gotten in anyhow.

UAB is down 25 players right now but will have a few back this week. The RBs and DBs were hit hardest through testing and contact tracing. About 12 starters and role players will be out against Rice.

My preference would be to cancel, but no one's asking me.

You're not wrong. Ohio State is the only team in the league that could not be embarrassed in a national playoff semifinal (emphasis on the word "could"). Any other team in the league would lose by at least 50 points to Clemson, Notre Dame or any SEC team they throw in there.

They should just have Northwestern and Indiana square off in Indianapolis, call it a "championship game," and send Ohio State on to the CFP. Nobody who's seen any B1G games this season would blink an eye at that decision.

    This.
    1000 times this.
I despise Ohio State with every fiber of my being, but no sane person is going to debate that.
That being said, being that I despise Ohio State, I hope they lose by 50 to either Northwestern or whomever they play in the National Semifinals.

I'm just curious if they implemented the 6-game rule to qualify for the championship game knowing they were going to have teams miss games and wanted some integrity only to change the rule to appease Ohio State, who were they trying to keep out?

Not at all saying changing it was anything but the right move, but what if tOHS had lost to Indiana and what if Indiana has to halt activities after completing 5 games. Would they have done the same thing and let Indiana in the title game despite not clearing the 6-game benchmark? Seems like a silly rule to have implemented to begin with

High of 32 on Saturday. Better than on Friday night. And earliest kickoff in Folsom Field's 97-year history.

In the grand scheme of things, what's wrong with Ohio State?

I wouldn't be totally shocked if Alabama and Florida didn't play this week. Seems like there's absolutely nothing for either team to gain and potential worst-case scenarios everywhere on the board. The ACC, which rarely does anything smart, was right to give Clemson and Notre Dame the week off. Allows them to "self bubble" for two weeks.
