Massacre will only lead to more protestors and greater conflict. I'm not guaranteeing it but world history shows that violence will not end well, especially if an election is stolen.

Just for fun, let's play out the "white supremacists go rogue" scenario, using the race riots in Detroit, Newark and Watts as an example of urban warfare. Black people have guns, too, in case you haven't noticed.

You think fat white dudes with Trump flags, guns and pickup trucks are just gonna drive into Fulton County one night and start shooting black folks willy-nilly and get away with it? It's not going to be much of a sneak attack.

First, what percentage of the Atlanta Police Department do you think is black? Would a big city police department AND state highway patrol really be that unprepared if they heard a caravan of nuts were coming down from Cumming to instigate an armed conflict?

Second, I'd lay odds on the people who live there being a lot more ready than you give them credit for. One, cellphones do work in the projects, so it's not like they wouldn't get time to arm themselves. And they've got the built-in advantage of knowing their neighborhoods, just like why it'd be foolish for the Antifa to come up here to the sticks and engage in a firefight over open ground. All it would take is to block an intersection or start a crossfire and it'd be like shooting ducks in a midway.

Third, these are the same types of yahoos who couldn't figure out how to kidnap the Michigan governor. They have no "trained militia." They have no chain of command, no coordinated strategy. All they'd do is get themselves shot up in a part of town that would go Reginald Denny 2.0 on anybody they could lay their hands on.

The Proud Boys and other neo-fascists would be stupid to even try widespread violence, even if you think the police are corrupt enough to allow it.

To be "fair" she did the same shit with AIDS and suffered no consequences for it, so I can see how she thought she might again avoid consequence.

Good point. And to follow up, notice how the MOST IMPORTANT places are blue? Never forget that fact. The economy depends on the metro centers, not the rural areas. Yeah, go ahead without NY and CA, let's see how the "red" state functions.

So I'll try another suppose. Suppose the Court rules against Trump and refuses even to hear the case. What's the Trumpist end game then?

    The terrible cycle:
--people (for a variety of terrible reasons, including the fear of a never-going-to-happen-socialist-takeover) vote GOP....and if enough do, that dastardly party gains control of the federal government.
--And when that happens, it NEVER goes well. Because the Republican Party hates government as much as it hates tax increases on billionaires.
--Then, MAYBE the Dems get a chance to run things for a while. And their challenges are enormous because of how bad the GOP had made things.
-- But the GOP can easily sabotage them because the Senate and SCOTUS all favor right-wingers
--Due to sabotage, the GOP screams: Dems fail(ed to fix the problems the GOP created)
--GOP wins back control of the government
    --GOP fails......

Sedition is a serious felony punishable by fines and up to 20 years in prison and it refers to the act of inciting revolt or violence against a lawful authority with the goal of destroying or overthrowing it.

Just so we all work from the same premise

Overthrowing an election on false grounds because you lost it seems to fit the definition of "revolt" pretty well.

As much as I think the "let the GOP implode on itself" strategy is wise on Biden's part (engaging or attacking these actions would only add fuel to their "movement") I do think there needs to be some pushback from some branch of the Dems, Labelling the treasonous actions of the Republicans as such, maybing delivering a truck load of tinfoil to the RNC HQ, talking about George Pickett's great "win" at Gettysburg - or asking if this kind of argument would work at a casino - (WHY is it 21? I had 17 - I should win!)

maumann, great post. It would be a bad episode of Cops.

I think whatever happens will be minor mischief, maybe some messing with mail delivery as the holidays draw nearer.

Just when I think the Hoff couldn't possibly be any cheesier, he went and did something like this ... and TOTALLY REDEEMED HIMSELF!
