LOL - are you familiar with Dave Bliss?
Sloppy testing to cover some positives would be a walk in the park.

Some will do anything and cover up everything. No doubt about that.

Yab, has it ever dawned on you that Duke scratched its non-conference sked and will sit out and see if the cases and death subside? They're not likely to, but this buys them some time. And before you start in on the school and Krzyzewski again - and you probably will - which school refused to take the floor in the ACC Tournament because it could see what John Swofford wouldn't acknowledge at the time?

Hint: It was that school in Durham. Selective memory, yab? While you're busy railing at Duke and Krzyzewski, don't forget Swofford and Mark Emmert.

So your retort to a ludicrous assertion is “the very worst guy in the history of college basketball coaches would do it”

Again, there are other people involved in the testing process than the school’s medical staff. They would have to collude, too.

Also impossible during the NCAA tournament, when the NCAA conducts the tests.

The local health department’s going to collude? The third-party medical testing company is going to collude?

I suppose it’s possible. Like one time. In one case. Like, the Covid vaccine might make someone very sick, one person, and that will be bad. But you wouldn’t draw any conclusions from that because it is too isolated.

Take this up with him then. He has 800 million reasons to make people believe that Mike Krzyzewski is on a philosophical island.

My guess is that the people who are blasting Mike Krzyzewski are thinking that, like Alabama's coach, he's trying to protect his win-loss record.

I'm not sure about that. His place in college basketball history is pretty secure regardless of what happens from here on out, barring some hidden multi-decade scandal of which we know nothing about now.

Because it is K, if he held a presser to make the point about continuing the season, he would get the usual "pious, holier-than-thou" and the other usual labels. So he said so following the loss to Illinois, which opens him up to critics claiming that it's about his win-loss record.

The number of coaches who could get the kind of attention needed to make Mark Emmert, John Swofford and Co. think starts with Mike Krzyzewski, Roy Williams, Bill Self and maybe Mark Few. He said what many have been thinking for a while now. I'm not in favor of sports continuing in the midst of a pandemic where the cases numbers and death are spiking. If it's possible, I'm in even less favor of college sports continuing because the players - er, "student-athletes" - get nothing monetarily and can lose their health and perhaps their lives in the name of keeping the NCAA money machine rolling.

Given that schools have already hidden positive test results for football players and coaches from the various places they're supposed to report them to, it is incredibly likely that basketball will do the same.

    I mean, I think that's a given.
