ProPublica has a database of what departments have gotten through that program and it was pretty shocking the kind of weaponry some very small town departments were packing.

It was also very funny to see the military grade washing machines and dryers going to jails and the elected constables who have no real authority but were still getting trucks and trailers and gear like chainsaws.

What are military grade washing machines and dryers? Are they like Maytags that wound up costing $7 million each and the first ones were deployed 12 years past schedule?
