They got it done. Mostly that was a combination of the OL not letting our QB get touched and the D holding Rice to two yards per rush. UAB plays in it's third consecutive C-USA conference championship game Friday night at Marshall.

    It’s a shame it didn’t count.

My interest in cfb is about at 3 of 10 this year. Interested in seeing Clemson/ND and the playoff games, but that's about it. Seeing the G5 schools getting hosed by the Committee and the lengths schools have gone to just to cash a TV check is kind of depressing and pretty much proof that big time college sports are just about the money.

What called it back? A flag on Western Michigan before the video started? The ball was downed in that on-the-ground scramble? When the Western Michigan coach ran on to the field?

Here is the play-by-play explanation. An illegal forward pass at some point by #5.

2-10 WMU 49 ELEBY, K. pass complete to MOORE, S. for 1 yard to the 50 yardline, JEFFERSON, L. for loss of 1 yard to the WMU49, ELEBY, K. for no gain to the WMU49, MOORE, S. for loss of 2 yards to the WMU47, CALIENDO, M. for 1 yard to the WMU48, PENALTY WMU illegal forward pass (MOORE, S.) 5 yards to the WMU43.

    From the Ball State website:

It wasn't over quite yet. Pandemonium broke out as WMU (4-2, 4-2 MAC) lateraled the ball around the field in desperation on the final play. BSU appeared to stop the play, and both teams came onto the field. A Western Michigan player ended up with the ball and ran for the end zone. Just as that happened, many viewers at home had their ESPN feed cut. The officials reviewed the play, which featured multiple penalties, including an illegal forward pass that officially ended the game.

If it stands, LSU with the craziest interception ever. If it doesn't, it's a helluva effort.
