Perhaps. Or perhaps they do know better but are playing the role they thing will juice up their voters most.

Or perhaps they are just Trump's toadies, doing what such people do best, sucking up.

That is reminiscent of the comedy classic, “National Lampoon’s Vacation.”

I respectfully ask how DeSantis is not wrong, while I go out in the yard and liberate it of dog shit.

    Pfizer specifies that it’s a two-dose vaccine.

    Therefore, DeSantis is wrong.

    So are you.

Pfizer’s Vaccine Offers Strong Protection After First Dose

The efficacy of the vaccine after the first dose is about 52 percent, according to Dr. William C. Gruber, senior vice president of Pfizer Vaccine Clinical Research and Development. After the second dose, that rises to about 95 percent. “Two doses of vaccine provide maximum protection,” he said.

Would you rather buy a product that's 52% effective or one that's 95% effective?
At the one-dose rate, you're essentially flipping a coin.
    From the CDC:
All but one of the COVID-19 vaccines currently in Phase 3 clinical trials in the United States need two shots to be effective. The other COVID-19 vaccine uses one shot.

DeathSantis was referring to the Pfizer vaccine, which requires two doses. Sure, it might be just as good at one dose. But he's wrong to suggest this is good public policy.
