How much more fun would Idol have been if the performers had been put up for "auction" to record labels, artist management firms and the like instead of voting from home. Lowest bid gets kicked to the curb each week. (and signed to that deal) I'm thinking the contestants would have wound up with better deals (even after giving a cut to the AI producers). And if bids don't reach a certain threshhold the AI -tie-in can kick in.

This is really a hell of an idea - call it Free Agents, include bands and other performers. You guarantee someone X amount against future earnings. Sports agents do it all the time.

For those who have HBO Max, they have 2 seasons of CNN's History of Comedy. It's quite enjoyable and easy to binge.

You really owe it to yourself to watch ep. 9 of Fargo (the latest season) - whether you want to watch the entire season or not that's up to you - but ep. 9 should be handed an Emmy for cinematography right now. The plot details really don't matter - it's that beautiful to watch.

IF you’re willing to admit your Bee Gees fandom, the HBO doc is fantastic! Great memories. Great to see the connection between the brothers and family (incl Andy)

JR and I just finished "The Undoing" last night and enjoyed it. The one thing that irked me though was that ever single person called the The Frasers except Nicole Kidman who pronounced it Frazier. Why??

Started binging Tehran. Pretty intense spy vs. spy with heavy doses of propaganda.

Just discovered TBH. Hidden gem in the Netflix mine. Very fun, lighthearted tone which I really enjoyed.

Anyone else frustrated with The Flight Attendant? She’s so awful as a person. Far afield from book too.

I’m still going. Might give up if next episode isn’t strong.
The reviews are really good, though.

That's the only show that's made me really consider getting Apple TV. The reviews for it have all been positive.
