I don't know how to rein-in focus right now. It just seems undoable for a kid under this entire set of circumstances. There is much that bothers them they don't tell us.

That sounds great, in theory. But many impoverished children are left behind that way.

After we've immunized every single person and there's zero chance of a teacher getting COVID, is it really fair to ask teachers to go to work even then? There's still a non-zero chance that a child could infect a teacher with something serious or even deadly. We can't ask teachers to risk their lives as long as communicable disease exists.

As always, the word "may" in a headline is an awfully big crutch.

The article is a little all over the place because the science is a little all over the place. There is no killer study that says "children are absolutely spreading this at least as much as adults." There's some things that suggest they might and some things that suggest they don't.

There were lots of problems with hybrid learning here where the local school district did away with it after six weeks of school. Mainly poor online grades and students roaming the hallways and disrupting other classes after they were done with their in-person class. Students now must either be 100% face-to-face or 100% virtual (not counting extracurriculars).

'May' in hed construction is often not even proper grammar. It is meant to connote permission. I hate seeing it all the time.

So it sends your info to an app? So, is the app required to notify others if you test positive?

Yes. As a teacher, if I'm vaccinated and my kids are mostly vaccinated I'm willing to go back. A 5 precent risk that my vaccine fails is not enough to keep me out nor for me to keep demanding to be remote.

It would be if I caught it as opposed to when I'll catch it if we went back right now.

    SEC Values.
Shouldn't the state be required to tell people why it's doing this? Of course it should, but the Trump administration won't do anything about it. Now that Trump has lost, he's not going to do anything that might help the country during Biden's term.
