Chuckling ... I think it says "The New England Journal of Medicine," but I could be wrong (my eyes are bad). It might say "US-China Steel Production: 1990-2018" ...

So my son had severe abdominal pain yesterday, had a teleconsultation with his primary care doctor and was referred to the emergency room at Brooklyn Hospital Central. After the usual hours of delay, he was diagnosed with appendicitis and had surgery early this am. We haven't heard from him or his fiancee yet on its outcome, which is no surprise, but it says it all about the virus that I am far more worried about him spending hours in an NYC hospital building than about the surgery itself.

 

I hope he feels better soon. It is a rough go, laparoscopy. He'll be sore but can convalesce just as well from home as the hospital.

I'd trust the numbers coming out of Tallahassee on the same basis I trust the ones coming out of Wuhan.
