Needless to say, this is totally wrong. If Ellis wrote it (yaneverknow), she's an idiot. I'm willing to generously just say your neighbor is kinda gullible.

Obamagate: The terrible scandal in which millions of Americans believed a real American was a foreigner and a Russian agent was a true American.

Traditionally, incoming first ladies present a small gift to the outgoing one on Inauguration Day - a journal or frame or some such. Curious what Dr. Jill will present to Melania - if she is there.
A signed copy of Michelle Obama's book?
A DVD (Waiting to Exhale, How Stella Got Her Groove Back)
    Some Burisma stock?

    In-the-weeds procedural question.
What does David Perdue do on Jan. 3? At noon that day, Senators -- as well as House members -- take an oath. Outgoing members are out the door. Perdue's term technically expires at that time, doesn't it? Or is there a law in Georgia that allows him to continue to serve?
The special election is Jan. 5, but no matter what that night's results say, the final tally won't be determined and certified for another couple of weeks. So would Perdue be allowed to remain in office on Jan. 6 for the certification of the Electoral College?
Loeffler's an interim appointment whose seat isn't up until 2022. Her term is still alive at least until the election results are certified. Right?
