Fights fall apart all the time for a load of reasons. You said Moorer never went after a rematch, clearly he did.

How Foreman even got the title shot vs Moorer in Nov. 1994 is suspect. Foreman's previous fight before Moorer was in June 1993, a decision loss to Tommy Morrison. So it makes little sense that Moorer would fight the 45 yr old Foreman coming off a loss 17 months earlier, unless he was made an offer he could not refuse and sold the belts to Foreman, who of course made a fortune for himself and other people as champ.

You believe every word you are told? Words mean nothing, the actions mean everything.

Believe nothing of what you read and hear and half of what you see.

Why the IBF ordered Foreman to rematch Schulz but not to rematch Moorer is another big inconsistency.

No he didn't reveal the amount, the friend and former sparring partner/pro boxer who came to visit Duran at the boxing fund raiser revealed the $15m.

Keep this thread to boxing, please.

Feel free to express your political opinions -- whatever they are -- to the politics thread.

When they spillover to other threads, it drags the board down because people get heated. ... which is why we started one catch-all politics thread.

    Thanks.

So...GGG on Friday and Saul on Saturday. Fun way to end the boxing season and excited to see both guys in the ring. Saul will be fighting in front of real human fans so the atmosphere might be even better. Thank you DAZN for making my $11 contribution worthwhile.

    Co-sign.

I'm not sure what to expect from either fight, but I'm very much looking forward to them both.

Sold on GGG, he's proven himself a long time ago, all the sensational performances, and all the big names who avoided him. Even the latest video Cristiano Ronaldo did taking a boxing lesson from GGG is a huge endorsement from a giant figure from the world of soccer. GGG is an all time titan with hopefully a few good years left. He looks as great as ever in the weigh in photos.

Canelo ... there's always been something suspect and mysterious about him. He seems counterfeit. He never says anything remotely interesting, just the same old sound bites. It's like he's been installed as a sort of WWF Bob Backlund hero. Everything seems scripted. Yes he does look very good in the ring, always in top shape, throws nice punch combinations. But there is always that possibility he is a protected asset.

I'm watching the Ring City USA fights on NBC Sports now. The women's fight was good. The main event with two unbeaten guys looks all right, too.
