They are going to do another reboot of Fantasy Island? They did that in 1998, with Malcolm McDowell playing Mr. Rourke. It lasted one season. They also had the movie this year.

I don't understand the rationale behind the reboots - now if you have much of the same cast picking up years later - seriously surprised nobody is talking about another Big Chill as the yuppies of the 80s now deal with being boomers (you know at least a couple of them would be Trumpers today). But a middling TV show? Why not just take a general concept of a night court, or frontier life or a law firm in Southern California and mix in some fresh angle and create something new? Though I'm guessing since we're talking streaming the reboots save on "rights" and might boost rerun viewership on their streaming services.

Damn Schitt's Creek is fabulous; Eugene Levy and his son are great; only person I don't really like is the daughter, but that's just her behavior, not the actress.

Just started Becoming You on Apple TV. After one episode I can see that it's going to be an amazing viewing experience.

Anthropological look at who and how and why we become during the first 2,000 days of our lives.

Shot in locales all over the world. Captivating. Mesmerizing. Adorable.

Finished off the latest season of Fargo. If there tends to be a problem with the show, it's that the characters are so well drawn, the filmmaking so great - you expect the narrative to be "BIGGER" or have a bigger meaning - but none of the series (or the movie for that matter) do. I tend to remember the characters far better than how each season ended up.

I've been making my way through the animated DC stuff on HBO Max. Stargirl is also on there, so I may check it out at some point. I'm currently on the third season of Young Justice, which is very good. There is an appearance by Guy Gardner that had me laughing. It made me think Ryan Reynolds could have worked as a Green Lantern in a live-action movie, but it should have been Guy Gardner, not Hal Jordan.

Anything that works in the JSA is cool with me.

I would tweak a couple things (like keep objects history in the 1940s, not 2005), but the overall product is solid.

The new Cranston show starts with a bang but unless I subscribe to Showtime I won't be able to watch the rest.
