Great question. I cheated and looked it up so I won't answer. I had the years right, on my second attempt, but never would have guessed the pitcher.

I also discovered a pitcher who lost two games in the same series, one famously.

    Not Randy Johnson.

And yes, many people forget Branca also lost Game 1 of the 1951 playoff series.

Who is the only pitcher in MLB history to win two regular-season playoff games?

Stan Williams of the Dodgers. He won Game 2 vs. the Braves in 1959, and Game 2 vs. the Giants in 1962.

Name the four players to captain a Stanley Cup winner in the same year they won the Hart Trophy.

This question got me curious about tiebreakers. There were four NL tiebreakers before the championship series was added in 1969 and the Dodgers were in all four, losing three. They also lost the first post-1969 NL tiebreaker to the Astros in 1980.

There have been 10 NL tiebreakers (and 16 total) and the Dodgers have been in six.

Bobby Thomson and Bucky "Bleeping" Dent are the stars of the two most famous clinchers and Matt Holliday still hasn't touched home plate, right Padres fans?

Off the top of my head, Gretzky's got to be one, right? And Messier is probably another.

At least one has to be a Canadien, right? Rocket Richard? Guy LaFleur?
