    I just watched it. The direction they went makes perfect sense, but I really didn't think they would go there. I thought it was a strong finish to an excellent season. I'm not sure what else to write while avoiding spoilers.

    For those who haven't watched it yet, there is a post-credits scene that ties into something that had been rumored, but not confirmed.

    I'm so conditioned to watch for them that I've even checked the credits on previous episodes. I figured for a season finale, they would probably go there.
