There is no way Trump is going to prison. None.
Prosecuting him in the first place is fraught with considerable political peril.
Convicting is next to impossible. Trump has enough mobster in him to offer carrots and/or sticks to the right juror or jurors. It only takes one to hang. If they retry him, the same thing will happen.

If Trump tried as hard to combat the virus as he has to overturn the election he’d have been re-elected
As it is he’s fighting for a job he doesn’t want to do

No political peril for the New York State Attorney General. Just a path to the Governor's office.

Trump thinks he’s going to prison as well as family members. Or at least that’s what has been reported.
He was an unindicted co conspirator on a case that sent his lawyer to federal prison.

True. But he'll tamper with the jury regardless of jurisdiction.

Unless he literally pulls out a gun and shoots someone on live TV, the United States is not going to get into the business of jailing former presidents.

I can’t see it either. But I always ask myself why he’s so hell bent on keeping the job if he doesn’t want it (and I don’t think he does) and doesn’t think he’ll prosecuted?

Just the chance to keep lining his pockets? Narcissism? The fact he can’t stand losing something?
