I think they wanted to see if Bridgewater could be the guy. Three years and a little more than $60 million didn't say "Aaron Rodgers" or "Drew Brees," but it didn't blatantly say "we're drafting here the moment we get the chance."

Jury might still be out. Teddy hasn't an enemy in the world, and while he hasn't come out with a win in the clutch, how much of that is him and how much of the issue is a patchwork line?

The draft was seven defensive players. Not one offensive lineman. Teddy had already been signed, so the groundwork had already been establish that it was going to be Bridgewater this season. Speaking of the defense ... was there a worse offseason to try to incorporate this many new players? Jeremy Chinn is the real deal, Derrick Brown looks to finally be done with undoing good plays with stupid ones and Brian Burns might be finding his stride.

The new GM needs to build a rapport with Tepper and Rhule, then find some offensive linemen and determine what to do long-term quarterback ... then linebacker - wasn't all that long ago that this was a roster strength - and cornerback.

How to jazz up a Steelers-Bengals Monday night game only OOP could love?

    Muppets.

First move would be to completely replace the broadcast crew with Statler and Waldorf:

Big Ben? I didn’t know this was a London game?
No but the clock has more mobility!
    Ah hahahaha!

“The stadium looks pretty empty in Cincinnati tonight.”
    “Coronavirus protocols?”
“No, all the Bengals fans decided to leave before they got here!”
    “Ahahahaha!”

"It's an honor to be broadcasting this Monday Night Football game between the Steelers and Bengals tonight."
"Normally we spend our Monday nights heckling the Bears!"
    "Ahahahaha!"

The Steelers may not win another game. They really could go from 11-0 to losing six in a row. The offense is a complete disaster right now. I don't know if it is his elbow, his knee, or what, but Roethlisberger has completely lost it.

People in this thread play fantasy football. It was an anecdote. Sod off.

Hell, the Steelers might not just lose. They might get blown out.

    Easy ... I was kidding.

And it looks like the Steelers' "offense" is making the defense's job exceedingly difficult.

Wonder what a Jets/Bengals money line parlay would have paid.

I just felt like saying sod off for some reason. Heh. And yes. Steelers offense is a mess.

The defense isn't looking great, either, but this isn't even a competitive game.

I knew the offense might play poorly enough to give the Bengals a chance to win, but this is a stunningly bad performance.

Still a half to go. Weren't the Bucs trailing 17-0 at halftime yesterday?
