Just read this thread from page 1 to page 18 when the hoax was confirmed. Very funny to see the real-time reactions of SportsJournalists.commers.

Both parents pleading guilty to related chargers. Richard Heene will plead guilty to a felony and faces possible 2-to-6 years in state prison. Mayumi Heene is pleading ot a lesser charge, in part because she could have been deported for a felony plea/conviction.

 

EPIC FAIL by the AP, with the only quotes coming from Richard Heene's slimeball lawyer, and his preposterous hot-air blatherings being treated as fact, rather than ludicrous Baghdad Bob-style legalistic monkey-poo-flinging.

 

UPDATE - Jail for both parents.

Ninety days for the dad, including 60 days of work release.

Twenty days for the mom, to be served after her hubby's sentence is completed.

They also each got four years of probation and are barred from profiting from the incident.
