It blows my mind that 10 months into this, getting a test is still such a bitch. Here in Virginia, you still have to catch the lottery on the Walgreens website or whatever. I should be able to walk into Patient First at this point and get a fucking test, but that isn't happening. It's maddening.

Every CVS within a 50-mile radius completely booked the next 2 days.

First thing tomorrow I'm calling my doctor.

    This is crazy.

I tried to go to one. It's closed until Saturday.

The others nearby were closed (or scheduled to be closed) by the time I got to that one. And since there were run by the same people, probably closed until Saturday, too.

The least the urgent care place could do is answer the phone. That's kind of unprofessional.

Pounding on their doors while wife was in kidney stone agony was definitely not a hoot.

I don't feel too bad now. At work, they take our temperatures every day and mine has always been between 95 and 98. I have allergies so I have a hard time figuring out of I have symptoms. More days than not, I have sniffles or something like that. I can still taste and smell. I had the flu in February of 2018 and haven't felt anything close to that in the last 10 months, though I had a few really bad colds last fall and in January.

Because of my age and being obese, I tend to think if I had it, I'd know it and probably wouldn't be long for this world.

My brother and the kids were over last weekend because I'm moving at the end of January and we need to get the place I'm squatting in ready to sell. I wore a mask the whole time they were here and asked them to do the same. As best I can tell, they did.

Less than a 20 minute wait and results overnight here in Ventura.

    That’s a benign description.
