How does this guy justify filling any prescriptions at all with this mindset?

A pharmacist who was arrested on charges that he intentionally sabotaged more than 500 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine at a Wisconsin hospital was “an admitted conspiracy theorist” who believed the vaccine could harm people and “change their DNA,” according to the police in Grafton, Wis., where the man was employed.

    The Lab-Leak Hypothesis

“A lab accident — a dropped flask, a needle prick, a mouse bite, an illegibly labeled bottle — is apolitical. Proposing that something unfortunate happened during a scientific experiment in Wuhan — where COVID-19 was first diagnosed and where there are three high-security virology labs, one of which held in its freezers the most comprehensive inventory of sampled bat viruses in the world — isn’t a conspiracy theory. It’s just a theory. It merits attention, I believe, alongside other reasoned attempts to explain the source of our current catastrophe.”

    This was Mr. Cotton’s hypothesis.

They didn’t “screw up the allocation and use of those tests.” Trump hates testing for COVID-19 because it embarrasses him and makes him look bad. That screw-up was intentional.

    It's a theory.

Saying the Chinese let the virus out of the bag to bring down the big, bad west is a conspiracy theory.

I see a lot of places getting back to normal in terms of sports play and gatherings... As though the virus isn't out of control. There were 77,000 deaths in December from it, and people are acting like life is normal. I assume it's just a virus fatigue, and perhaps optimism over the vaccine. But this vaccine roll out is a complete miss. We're going to be nowhere near where we need to be by summer.

    Plausible, but not inarguable.

Be interesting to see how the fact check gets challenged / fisked online.

Restrictions eased in Colorado starting Monday, including indoor dining of 25% capacity now allowed statewide. More people allowed into gyms. High school basketball expected to start in two weeks.

The story doesn't claim it's intentional.

But neither was Chernobyl. The cover-up there was intentional. And the cover-up would be intentional, via China, if this virus came from a lab.

In other words, if it came from a lab, and China insisted otherwise, it killed millions of people by not telling the truth about it. It would be a villain worth ostracizing in every way possible.

If the truth is it came from a wet market, and then China covered up the Wuhan outbreak, as it did, that IMO is just as bad.

Hmm. On the one hand, we have scores of experts who have thoroughly examined and rejected the possibility.

On the other hand, we have a random writer with no expertise whatsoever trying to sell a book about government cover-ups saying it might be a government cover-up.

and people are taking him seriously. Our society is so fucked.
