Do Americans understand how far they have fallen in world's eyes?

The displeasure or distress we inflict on folks in other countries is just another flavor of liberal tears; kind of like Wiener Schnitzel or Pad Thai, just slightly more salty.

 

OK. Well, what shall we do about all that? Ask Europe what to think and say? Mainline MSNBC for a week straight and come out with talking points? Send money in hand-addressed envelopes? What is our penance?

If you have an ounce of decency, you hate what this country has become under Trump.

 

American abroad here, now living in Hong Kong. The pro-Beijing locals -- to say nothing of the mainland -- are having a right old gut laugh today. Bolivians seem to be having a pop, too. Maybe the US didn't have as far to fall in the world's eyes as some Americans assumed.

 

Ah, the cocoon of American Exceptionalism continues to erode.

Some of the Trumpists really need to live elsewhere for at least six months to have some understanding of how much worse others have it. As with many other facets of life, those people really have no idea.
