Nope. Trump-appointed judges threw out as many or more of his election challenge suits as did other judges. You misunderstand those he appointed. They are Federalist Society products. They're VERY conservative, reactionary even, but they're not Trumpists. They would have been appointed by Rubio, or Christie, or Jeb or any of the other 2016 GOP candidates. They have a vested interest in punishing lawbreakers, because they have a vested interest in using the law to advance their beliefs. That's not what judges are supposed to do, but of course almost all do.

 

To be fair, how many radical police reforms have come down the pike since the summer? Or since the dozens of other protests the past few years?

To paraphrase an oft-used sj.com refrain from the summer, I guess they wanted to make you feel uncomfortable.

Or this was their "Be a YouTube star" audition. Hell if I know.
