I feel like this is a time for a particularly relevant edition of xkcd.

 

In Horace and Pete's, Buscemi (Pete) was severely mentally ill and kept it in check only with strong meds, which were discontinued because they were dangerous and when they ran out he went full fucking derp.

Trump kept his crazy in check by having the most powerful drug in the world every single day: the seat of power. Then his power was taken away and he has gone full derpy (and murderous) Pete in the finale.

Louis CK never got it more right. Listen to the bar talk in the opening episode when the TV brings up Trump. CK was incorporating the current state of affairs into each episode. Listen to Kurt's rant about how maybe we need to burn it all down. It nearly became a self fulfilling prophecy.

Who is he meeting with? No one else is left in the West Wing and no foreign dignitary is going to call.

 

I'm pretty sure you're the person who got me into that show. It was tremendous, and you couldn't be more right.

I was talking to friends tonight. I couldn't remember anyone who was DRUNK on the presidency like Trump is/was. It's a weird thing. Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama ... none of them needed this shit to live like Trump does.
