Yes because he ran before the creation of the 12th Amendment he was one of only 3 VPs to enter the office as the presidential loser. John Adams has an asterisk because he really didn’t run against Washington.

So it was Jefferson, Jackson, Cleveland and Nixon.

    Other fun stuff:

FDR went 2-1, but his L was as the Dems’ VP candidate in 1920.

Grant ran a third time after his two Ws, but did not get the nomination.

John Tyler was the only President whose death was not recognized in Washington. Tyler joined the Confederate House of Representatives and died shortly before the session opened.

Final few hours of this shit.

Still kind of strange to think Trump lost. Part of me thought there's no way he'd be a 1-termer, that they'd find a way.

If not for the virus, he does win.

He screwed it up badly, for one. For two, mail-in voting became a vehicle through which more people who would vote for Biden, did, and it helped. (And there isn't anything wrong with it.)

The Democrats had a terrible three years of politics, offset by a once-in-a-century event that has delivered them full control of government.

    We'll see how they govern.

    Squirm, Wayne. Squirm.

A major donor to the National Rifle Association is poised to challenge key aspects of the gun group’s bankruptcy filing, in an attempt to hold executives accountable for allegedly having defrauded their members of millions of dollars to support their own lavish lifestyles.

Dave Dell’Aquila, a former tech company boss who has donated more than $100,000 to the NRA, told the Guardian on Saturday he was preparing to lodge a complaint in US bankruptcy court in Dallas, Texas. If successful, it could stop top NRA executives discharging a substantial portion of the organisation’s debts.

It could also stop Wayne LaPierre, the NRA’s controversial longtime chief executive, avoiding ongoing lawsuits that allege he defrauded the pro-gun group’s members to pay for luxury travel to the Bahamas and Europe and high-end Zegna suits.
