On the NBC national radio broadcast of Game & of the 1960 World Series, who did pxp announcer Chuck Thomson incorrectly say threw the pitch Maz hit for the game-winning homer?

(That broadcast is in a movie scene someplace, but I can't remember the movie).

No, Art Ditmar, who was warming up in the bullpen.

crossthreading, Ditmar also won the last game in Philadelphia A's history.

I won’t do this as a question but saw it when reading about Don Sutton.

Sutton has the record for most at-bats without a home run (1,354). Sutton holds another record: seven times in his career, he pitched nine scoreless innings but got a no-decision. He also holds the major league record for most consecutive losses to one team, having lost 13 straight games to the Chicago Cubs.

Saw he is also 3rd all time in games started. Probably could have taken 20 guesses and not got that one.

With Biden's inauguration, the Univ of Delaware becomes the fifth school to boast a U.S. President and Super Bowl MVP. Name the other four.

Miami of Ohio, Garfield and Big Ben

Stanford, Hoover and Elway and Plunkett

FYI, Biden went to law school at Syracuse, the alma mater of Larry Csonka, the MVP of Super Bowl VIII. So he might be the only guy who is a double.

Biden (Delaware, Syracuse) and Harris (Howard, UC-Hastings) are the first President/Veep without an Ivy connection since Carter (USNA)/Mondale (Minnesota/Minnesota).

Joe Flacco. Although, I was gonna initially say Rich Gannon but remember his Raiders got smoked in the SB although he was NFL MVP

I don't think Garfield went to Miami of Ohio.

You are right, it was someone else. But I knew Miami had a presidential alum. Garfield is from Ohio but went to Williams.
