The unintentional comedy of trying to compare Sarah Palin and Kamala Harris stops at the fact that both are female.

 

I mean, aren’t we all kind of against undocumented immigration? I don’t know anybody who’s interested in a free and unfettered flow of immigrants. I think all we are asking for is a well-thought-out process, and for people to be treated, like, you know, people.

 

The things I notice: Great design. Good color palette. No typos. Just so much more professional than the previous administration.

 

That pretty much nails it.

Not the first bit interested in just letting anyone walk in and stay just because. But, in the meantime, if they're working and/or working toward something and not being a troublemaker, treating them like decent human beings will go a long way.

Immigration is very similar to illegal drugs (seriously); everyone demonizes the supply side (bad people/criminals! send them to jail!) yet no one does anything about the demand.

Illegal immigration has persisted because WE are willing to offer them jobs at higher wages than they would otherwise make from where they are emigrating. Don't want illegals standing outside your local Home Depot on Sunday? Don't hire them. Yet home many times do you see people picking them up?

 

I am not in favor of undocumented immigration in the abstract.

I am very much in favor of giving citizenship to the millions of undocumented immigrants who were tacitly encouraged to come here to work under the table so that business would have an uninterrupted supply of cheap labor in the 90s.

 

The new press secretary has a C.J. Cregg vibe with her delivery.

Or maybe I just forgot what civility and professionalism felt like in government.
