Technically, Senators can't consider this in the upcoming trial, but they should keep it in mind. There can be zero doubt that Trump must be rendered ineligible to serve again.

Democrats handed the GOP a gift with the second impeachment. They could slam the door on Trump and have almost two full years to earn back their conservative cred - or they can vote no and keep Trump an influencer within the party. I get that they're flailing around trying to find something to rally around, but

    Seems impeachable.

When our daughter was born, I mentioned to my wife I’d like to one day get a Rolex that I could pass onto her. She tucked that passing comment away and sprung one on me eight years later. My best friend is a watch nerd, he spent a full year combing the used market for a 1968 model. Those were too high, so instead they got me a 1998 - the year I met my wife.

All told, it was not that expensive. Less than what I just paid for a 2004 pickup. And it will hold value better.

Conversely, you impeach the president again and replay the images of him egging his supporters on against images of members of Congress hiding behind chairs and desks. When the Senators vote no, Dems go into those states in 22/24 and bombard it with you had a chance to choose Americans over a person and you chose a person. You let Trump off and Senators lay low and then kiss the ring in 22 for money and support to get re-elected. Now every Republic save Romney will have that over their heads while Republicans on the state level eat their own.

Part of me thinks McConnell is smart like a fox in not starting the impeachment trial until early February. Gives more time for stuff to come out, and gives him even more cover to vote to impeach.

For the record I have had a Rolex on my arm every moment save maybe a total of an hour or so since 1993. It is simply a part of me.

Two years is a lifetime in politics. I could see some of these clowns getting primaried from the left. And who knows what else might come out. I have to think Paul Ryan could take out Ron Johnson
