President Biden: The NEW one and only politics thread

I don’t mind you coming here and wasting all my time.

 

I've been stunned by some of the EOs and action plans coming out of the WH this week. Not just the reversals, but some of the moves,. It pains me to say this, but one of the reasons I thought Biden would be a good President (even back when he first ran) was that he seemed to be able to connect with people who would never see a woman or non-white President in the same light. They've never had a woman or person of color as a "boss" or friend and I think Biden will get the benefit of the doubt on a lot of these things because to these types of people, coming from Biden they're more acceptable. Call it white privledge, quiet racism or whatever.

 

Which ones? It’s all been stuff he said he was going to do.

 

Yes and he's followed through on them all. Would have thought they would have been spread out or maybe slow-walked - this isn't your mom and dad's joe biden.

I do love how the US seems so concerned for poor Alexei but is champing at the bit to get the cuffs on Snowden if he sets foot on US soil.

Of course, the US funds Navalny. So I guess they want as much bang for their buck as possible.

For every Russian who approves of him, 2.5 disapprove. But you'd never know it based on how Western media fawns over him.

 

The politically corrupting influence of fossil fuel industries on nations is inexorable. Same with Trump/ Clark, a former BP Oil lawyer. Putin the Poisoner's Oil oligarchs. Murderous Saudi Arabian oil princes. Josh Hawley & Ted Cruz - funded by the Koch network.

 

I never saw these ads, but kudos to his team for casting the beagle.

Oh, yeah. Right off the bat, Warnock was shown walking his dog and talking about how the other side was going to slander him and lie, and how you shouldn't believe them. Then the capper was him "throwing a bag of poop" into a garbage bin while talking about Loeffler's attack ads. The last in the series was him walking an ever increasing number of dogs, to show how his numbers were growing.

Very effective ads without resorting to the "fear" tactic used by the GOP.
