If there was any chance of changing Watson's mind, I think that story pretty much ended it.

Stafford under Kyle Shanahan would be fun especially with the Niners’ run game to protect Stafford. Doubt San Francisco will give up on Jimmy but it’s fun to think about.

Redskins and Broncos would be a good fit too. I realize Garoppolo was in a walk year in NE - hence only netting a 2nd rounder (56th). But I don't think you give up a 1 for a 32 year old QB who only cracked a 100plus passer rating once in his career (and in a season he only played eight games at that). Still, there is tread on that tire.

I see Stafford and I see someone who can throw downfield and 15 yd outs; Jimmy G looks scared to make those throws. I think it’s easier to teach Stafford to throw short than a short thrower to throw long.

32 with a much better contract than Watson and not nearly as much tread as a contemporary like Cam Newton
Teams know what he put up with in Detroit and the contenders all have offensive lines and skill players
There will be plenty of bidders and they should get the 1 plus they seek
The Colts have shown they aren’t afraid to make big deals
Put Stafford on the Colts or Saints and they can make the Super Bowl

Greg Olsen announces retirement after 14 seasons

Passes Wesley Walls for team's best tight end. Walls is in the team's Hall of Honor (which, until recently, had one player in it. One guess ... ).

So Olsen will be inducted in Charlotte in ... ?

Maybe it's my Saints roots but I would trade for Watson in a NOLA minute. Brees is done. I'd give Houston Hill and Winston to do it.

Lol, and you think Houston might take that?
