1. Give yourself an unconditional lifetime pardon for any and all federal crimes before resigning, take federal prosecution off the table.

 

Leahy wasn't chosen to preside because he's special, he was chosen because I believe, under a Democratic majority, he is president pro tem (most senior member of the majority party). Given the scuttle around here, you may not like the alternative: Dianne Feinstein. (Patty Murray is next).

 

Anne Murray would be better.

Or Eddie Murray just for the scowls.

 

The title of President Pro Tem goes to the longest-serving Senator in the party in power. Next in line would be Dianne Feinstein (gulp), followed by Patty Murray.

 

I think this is the first in many impeachments.

Pelosi laid this card down first. The next card will be the Atlanta phone call.

The fourth impeachment will be his finances and profiting off the presidency.

Each time the Senate will decline, but the information will be out there.

As a young'un, I always fantasized about their lips not being too sealed, if you know what I mean.

 

Helps to have a president who isn't in debt to some combination of Putin, the Kremlin and the oligarchs.

Cannot wait for the trail to lead to this. Why else would you-know-who bow to them?

 

Whenever I think, "Surely her fellow members will throw her out," I am reminded that not even the House members who sexually harassed and/or assaulted pages back in the 1980s were removed.
