AOC is a digital native and one of the most fluent talkers on social media regardless of what the others do for a living.

She's just good at it, whatever that it is.

While unlikely she'll be president one day, there's a better chance for her getting the gig then Ted Cruz and he knows that.

Cruz is deeply unlikable in both a personal sense as well as lousy Senator. He's accomplished nothing in his Senate career. He's literally only sponsored one bill that has become law. He's inserted himself into the conversation because he's a Texas senator who likes to mix it up on Twitter, which he thinks makes him look cool, when he's just a fucking law nerd, who can quote the Princess Bride. Seth Rogen -- SETH ROGEN! -- nailed it when he said Cruz uses the twitter barbs as a way to distract from the fascism and attempts to overthrow the government.

Him calling for civility should be treated as a joke, just like Cruz is a joke.

The other significant thing to note is that NY Dems were contemplating redistricting AOC out of the seat, but that's unlikely to happen now because Elise Stefanik is a better target and AOC brings in real money as a fundraiser.

I have read that the idea now is to give Staten Island a different and larger slice of Brooklyn to form a district to guarantee the Republican who won that district goes down. Upstate pretty much has to be the region that loses a seat.

And here we stand at the intersection of America where polar opposite lawmakers found common ground and said they want to drag today's devious billionaire investors but spend the day flinging Twitter shits at each other. And nothing gets done.

Gerrymandering is constitutional for political parties. The right has been effective in gerrymandering, especially in Texas, North Carolina and Pa. if NY can squeeze another Dem district and loose a Rep seat, that’s a 2 seat swing.

Those monuments/buildings can be teaching moments. One question (Kid) asked me that I really hadn't been thinking about was whose comfort was the goal of this business of naming. (Sorry for the poor syntax. I'm hitting the crispy friend part of our daily program.) I agree there are differences. To this young man, it was all part and parcel of eliminating things that might make people like him ask questions. Because we let the winners write history for so long, he could see his ancestors' role being hidden even further because it was couched in uncomfortable truths whether it was a statue or the name of a state park or a book in the library.

You know what’s tiresome/enraging? Anyone trying to sand the edges off the Jan. 6 terrorist attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Trump invited a mob to DC and turned it loose in an attempt to overthrow the government. There is no question elected officials would have been murdered had the mob gotten to them. Trump, Hawley, Cruz and many others are directly responsible for pushing the Big Lie that led to the insurrection.

And Trump is going to get away with it. He will 100 percent be the nominee unless he’s barred from running.

Good for AOC. If anything she was too gentle with Cruz.

What happened Jan. 6 can never be forgiven or forgotten.

Try telling them that. They're in so much denial they're still taking cues from him.

Trump won't be around to run in 24.

    It'll be made sure of.

While it's true that naming things can be a learning opportunity, most often it's not. I think the young man you're talking about is more aware than some.

What indication so far has there been that he will suffer any consequences or be held accountable in any way?
