    Trump's penalties will come in state and civil courts. He won't be politically punished, but he will be crippled financially and in the court of public opinion. That would be worse than jail to him.

    My error. He was subpoenaed by Ken Starr, but voluntarily sat for the deposition with conditions, and the subpoena was withdrawn.

    That said, he was served a subpoena. I don’t see why Trump couldn’t also be subpoenaed.
